Freedom Rings by Smithsonian Reproduction

Marcus Fabrics is pleased to present it latest design collaboration with the Smithsonian!  Based on the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War, the group is a sophisticated take on florals and coordinating textures in shades of slate, cherry red, and cream, with accents of sage.  These designs are true to the fabric that was available in the states during a time when fabric could not be printed here yet, but was instead sourced from France, India, and Egypt.

Missie Carpenter of Traditional Primitives debut collection!  Although inspired by antique French fabric, her changes to the color palette give it an updated appeal.  She suggests the use of the diamond shapes in the main design for fussy-cut applique and Broderie Perse projects, some of her favorite types of projects.
